HilcoBid Website Guidelines

• By using the HilcoBid.net auction system, you agree to comply with any and all Auction Guidelines and any and all state, federal or international laws that apply. In addition, you agree to use the system at your own risk and pursuant to the following terms:
• 1. HilcoBid.net reserves the right to refuse use of the auction system/service to anyone at any time for any reason at our sole discretion.
• 2. HilcoBid.net shall be held harmless by any user who may experience problems, loss or damage arising or originating from use of the system/service.
• 3. HilcoBid.net is not responsible for any problems, damage or loss caused by circumstances out of our control. This includes but is not limited to system failures, system errors, internet related problems, power outages, fire and theft.
• 4. HilcoBid.net reserves the right to omit, remove, or re-categorize, at any time, any listing at our sole discretion.
• 5. HilcoBid.net does not guarantee the receipt of e-mail associated with invoicing, bidding updates and winning bid notices by any user of the auction system.
• 6. HilcoBid.net strictly prohibits any inappropriate use of the system. However, auction.hilcoind.com cannot and does not guarantee that inappropriate use of the system will be prevented or noticed.
• 7. HilcoBid.net requires users to be of legal age in any and all jurisdiction that may apply to any transaction.
• 8. HilcoBid.net strictly prohibits users from sending unsolicited e-mail to other users (i.e. spamming or collusion).
• 9. To participate in the auctions offered at HilcoBid.net, the user must create an account, providing accurate contact information and a valid Visa or MasterCard credit card. The user is responsible for updating their registration information as necessary to ensure that HilcoBid.net can contact the user.
• 10. The username created above must be between 6 and 10 characters, and cannot already be in use by any other user.
• 11. For the user's security, their password and data are broadcast encrypted (see our SSL Security Certificate and information here and on the credit card registration page).
• 12. The user may not disclose their password to third persons. In the event that a user reveals their password to another person, user assumes all responsibility for bids placed on his/her account. User is responsible for changing his/her password as necessary to protect their account.
• 13. The registered user must choose the auction(s) in which they wish to take part and request approval to bid for each. The user must agree to the User Agreement, the Auction Terms and Conditions, and our Standard Terms of Sale. An email with links to this information will be provided upon registration. It is the user's responsibility to read, understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions of each sale before they place a bid, as well as our standard Terms of Sale. By checking the box indicating acceptance and by placing any bid, the user acknowledges that he/she has read, understood and agreed to these terms.
• 14. The user may bid more than once for the same lot. The highest bid will win the lot, provided it has met the reserve amount, or minimum required bid.
• 15. Bidders may be required to submit a deposit before being permitted to bid. Instructions for submitting this deposit via wire transfer will be provided via email upon registration request.
• 16. This system offers the user the ability to enter automatic (aka limit or proxy) bids. When another bid is placed for the same item, the system will automatically increase the user's bid as necessary to win the lot up to their maximum bid amount. By placing an automatic bid, you authorize the system to bid automatically on your behalf.
• 17. Each lot has an estimated closing time, as indicated on the bidding page or in the online auditorium. If a bid is placed within the last 3 minutes of the scheduled closing time, the bidding time will automatically extend 3 minutes from the tie the bid is received to allow the bidder who has been outbid the opportunity to place another bid. Therefore, lot closing times as subject to change.
